About This Adventure

Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Clifftop Tent Sites, perched high above the Potomac River. Enjoy privacy in spacious wooded areas, perfect for groups. A nearby trail leads to stunning overlooks, while modern bathhouse facilities ensure comfort. Just an hour from major cities, this unique camping adventure awaits!

Clifftop Tent Sites

Cliff Top Sites: 501-511

Cliff Top Sites sit high along a cliff over the river. The sites are wooded and more private than some of the other sites. They are also a bit larger than the other tent sites and make great sites for groups.

A trail leads to a nearby overlook with stunning views of the Harpers Ferry Gap on the Potomac River.

Vehicle parking is nearby and not directly at the sites. Gear will need to be carried up to 100 yds from your car to the camp sites.

The bathhouse is close by to these sites.

4 Adults or 2 Adults and up to 4 dependent children under 18 per site.

Max of 2 camping units per site.

The Harpers Ferry Campground is only one hour from the Washington, DC and Baltimore Metro Regions.

The Campsites are available on a beautiful deep water section of the Potomac River near Harpers Ferry in Jefferson County. A four mile section of deep water runs from our campground to above the Dargan Bend Boat Ramp in Maryland. Pontoon boats, fishing boats, water skiing, wake boarding, and jet skis are welcome. We also offer beautiful, River Front Cabins that offer heat and AC, as well as their own full bathrooms.

Our finished bathhouse has private bathrooms with toilers, sinks, and showers! The bath house does have handicap accessibility.

There is are train tracks adjacent to the campground and a one way tunnel where cars honk their horns. You may hear trains and honking from your site.

*These sites are not to have a car park on them! Clifftop tent sites are for up to 6 people, 4 adults, 2 children.
