As a mainly outdoor attraction we are at the mercy of the weather and occasionally have to shut the Castle at short notice due to high winds. If this is the case, we will email you notification of the closure. Please ensure you check your emails regularly. If we do have to close and you have a ticket for an affected time slot you will receive a refund.

1st April - 30th September: Open daily, 09.00 – 18.00 (last entry 17:00).

1st October - 31st March: Open daily from 10.00, for closing times see our website www.dunnottarcastle.co.uk. Last entry is always one hour before closing time.

The food van at the car park will typically be open from 10 am until the Castle closes.

Toilet facilities are available inside the Castle for paying visitors.
