Experience the unique charm of The Bothy Experience in Glamis, where you can savor four seasonal gins in a cozy, rustic setting. Enjoy a delightful tasting accompanied by a video presentation, and indulge in a sharing platter. The Bothy Experience, home of the award winning Gin Bothy is nestled in the historic village of Glamis in Angus, minutes from Glamis Castle.

Enjoy catching up with friends and family in our cosy and rustic bothy tasting rooms, from where you'll enjoy a tasting including FOUR of our most popular gins and liqueurs.

Highlights

  • Abstainers (e.g. drivers) are also welcome to join the tasting. Such guests will receive hot and cold soft drinks during the tasting and a ‘Driver’s Gift’ of one 5cl mini gin bottle and a mixer to take away and enjoy at home.
  • You can also add on our delicious Savoury and Sweet Sharing Platter to enjoy during your tasting including - A selection of Bothy Cheeses, our very own Bothy Butter, bread, Bothy Larder Oatcakes, crisps, seasonal fruits, meat filled pastry item, crisps, homemade scone with Jam Bothy preserves and other sweet treats.

  • During the tasting you will discover the story of the Gin Bothy and bothy life via a video presentation.
  • As well as the accompanying video you will receive one of our beautifully illustrated tasting mats to help guide you through your gin experience.
  • The tasting will include FOUR gins and liqueurs (each serving is 2.5cl); Original, Raspberry, Rhubarb and Gunshot.
  • All drinks are accompanied by mixers, ice and garnish so that you can create your own perfect serves!
  • One of our experienced Bothy Experience team members will be on hand to answer any questions and provide assistance if required.

Additional information

  • **While dogs and children are welcome in our public areas, they are sadly not allowed to attend our gin tastings. With the exception of assistance dogs.
  • Tasting guests are welcome to explore our retail shop during their visit which is in our Bothy Barn.
  • We also welcome large groups and private bookings - please contact us directly for more information (bookings@bothyexperience.co.uk).

  • Gin tastings are for adults only, aged 18 + years.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome in our tasting rooms.
  • Abstainers (e.g. drivers) are welcome to join the tasting but must also be added to the guest numbers when booking online.
  • This is a public tasting, which other guests can attend, and due to the cosy and sociable room layout you may be seated at the same table as other bookings.
  • This tasting will be carried out via video presentation and will last approximately 60 minutes, with a further 30 minutes to allow guests to finish drinks and food.
  • Our tasting rooms are heated, but due to the old thick stone walls and stone floors we recommend guests wrap up - until the gin warms you up! Blankets are also available for guests to use during our tastings.
  • This gin tasting will take place in the tasting rooms The Bothy Experience in Glamis village (DD8 1RT).
  • All our public areas and tasting rooms are on the ground floor and we also have an accessible toilet.
  • Free parking is available in the centre of the village and if required guests can be dropped off at our entrance gate.
