About

Here I will explain what our inshore fishing charters have to offer and what they entail. Time may vary based on weather and tides.

First inshore fishing to us is simply fishing saltwater within land, going up the river inlets and creeks, fishing grass lines and docks for numerous species, or heading out to the harbor for the bottom feeders in the warmer months. We enjoy inshore fishing as it is year round, and there is so many endless waterways in Charleston it makes for a great fishing estuary.

Creek fishing/backwater fishing is our main specialty. This light tackle type of fishing is very hands on and similar to large-mouth bass fishing. Not sure what that is, that is perfect, our guides have a lot of offer in regards to teaching and sharing their expertise to catching fish. We will make our ways through the shallow backwaters, fishing light tackle using popping corks with live bait and occasional artificial jigs. Working our bait along the solid bait holding grass lines along with underwater structure like oyster beds around docks and wrecks. The species targeted are reddrum, trout, flounder, blackdrum, and sheephead. All are amazing and edible saltwater fish, however we do strictly follow the SC-DNR regulations on size limits and amount. While creek fishing is great year round, weather and water temperatures play a huge role in the size of your catch. The cooler months (October-April) are our prime times for large schools of slot size reddrum. (Slot size = Keep-able).

When the warmer months (May-September) are in the creek bite tends to produce a lot of smaller sized fish, due to the water temperatures getting too warm; when that happens we begin our journey for the season into the harbor for the big boys.

Harbor Fishing is still within land, however we change the tackle used to heavy tackle and fish the bottom of the Charleston Harbor. Once the bulls (aka monster redfish ranging from 20-75 lbs) move back in the fight is on. As you take in all of Charleston's glory and historic scenery, your captain will get the variety of fresh bait ready. This exhilarating catch puts on a show and gives your arms a little work out. While searching for that bull reddrum bite you may also come across our toothy shark friends, that can range from 1 to 8 ft in length.

Join our fishing guides at All In One Charters for a salty adventure, exploring many Charleston waterways, while learning techniques to help land your best catch.
