Highlights of the guided tour

  • The tour starts with a visit to the gardens of the “Castel Sant’Angelo“.
  • On the way to the most famous and important street in Italy, the “Via del Corso“, we will admire the “Supreme Court of Cassation“, the “Museo dell’Ara Pacis” and the “Mausoleo of Augustus” from the outside.
  • This is followed by a visit to the impressive Basilica “Santi Ambrogio e Carlo al Corso“, with the heart of Saint Charles Borromeo.
  • Then the “Piazza del Popolo“, with its symmetry and legends about ghosts and demons will make you dive into another world.
  • There we will see the “Santa Maria del Popolo” with its masterpieces by Pinturicchio, Rafael, Bernini, Caravaggio and Carlo Fontana.
  • Then we will enjoy the wonderful view of the “Terrazza del Pincio“.
  • Followed by one of the most famous places in the world, the romantic “Piazza di Spagna” will enchant you with its history.
  • The church “Sant’Andrea delle Fratte” houses two masterpieces by Bernini and an amazing bell tower by Borromini.
  • Then we discover the Basilica “San Lorenzo in Lucina” with the grate on which St. Lawrence was martyred.
  • The highlight of the tour is the Basilica “Sant’Ignazio di Loyola“, the second most important church of the Jesuits, with the most impressive optical illusions of the Eternal City of Rome.

  • Shoulders, knees and back have to be covered.
  • The tour ends near the “Via del Corso”, buses are within 5 minutes walking distance. The bus station at the “Piazza Venezia” can be reached within 10 minutes on foot.
