You step onto the coach in Florence before dawn, the city’s stonework shrinking behind you as the road leans toward the Ligurian coast. By midmorning the air tastes of salt and lemon; pastel houses cling to steep terraces and waves sketch white lines on black rock. Manarola’s tiny harbor and Monterosso’s broad beach feel like two different moods of the same coastline: intimate coves and public promenades.

Walking is optional in many parts of the tour; expect short guided walks on uneven trails and free time to explore village streets and beaches.
Children can join but must sit on laps if infants; those with significant mobility issues may find village stairs and uneven terrain challenging and should check accessibility beforehand.
