A cold bell chimes in the market square and you step off the pavement into streets lit with warm white bulbs. The tour begins in the city center and threads through narrow lanes, climbs to the Chemin de la Corniche balcony and then descends the slope into the Grund — a pocket of riverside houses and quiet courtyards. Along the Alzette, the water nudges the stone walls as you move between viewpoints and former abbey grounds.
