As the sun sets and the lights of the season begin to glow, it’s time for Christmas Spirit Training!

Climb aboard the Christmas Cheerlight Charter, a spirited evening adventure where guests of all ages help restore the magic of the holidays by completing joyful challenges and collecting stamps in their Merry Mission Passport.

From heartfelt high-fives and cheerful waves to singing carols and sharing gratitude, you’ll earn your place as one of Santa’s Official Merry Makers.

This immersive journey includes a visit from Santa, festive music, and a special memento to commemorate your holiday mission.

It’s a heartwarming ride filled with laughter, connection, and just the right amount of North Pole magic.

COACH CAR

Our standard coaches offer traditional rail seating in groups of four, and every passenger gets a special holiday gift.

LOUNGE CAR

This car features soft, upholstered chairs in spacious surroundings, and an additional extra special holiday gift!

Directions

Your journey begins at the WCR Farmers’ Market Station located at 330 Farmers Market Road between the St. Jacobs Farmers Market and the Value Village Shopping Centre. Please note there is no public boarding or parking at our St. Jacobs Village (Isabella St.) location.

Parking

Free Parking is available in the Value Village parking lot located off Farmers Market Road which is adjacent to our station platform. 330 Farmers Market Road Waterloo, Ontario N2J 4G8.

Washrooms

Washrooms are available aboard the train, as well as a baby changing station located in Car 5.

Refund Policy

There are no refunds unless the WCR cancels a train. Missed trains or bad weather will not be refunded.

What to Bring

  • Wear your Christmas PJ’s and/or “ugly Christmas sweaters”!
  • Bring along your Santa letters to put in our Christmas mailbox! Please note that while every effort is made to provide a response, WCR cannot guarantee it.
  • No food or drink (except bottled water) is permitted to be brought onto the train. We encourage the use of reusable water bottles. Please help keep our trains clean by disposing of your water bottles after use.

Other Things to Know

  • Get your tickets soon.
  • Seating is limited.
  • Passenger coaches will be assigned at the time of purchase at the discretion of the WCR ticketing system. Specific seating is not assigned and will be determined upon boarding. Specific seating requests cannot be accommodated. WCR will make every effort to seat larger parties together; however, depending on availability, it cannot be guaranteed.
  • Large groups may be boarded first.

Accessibility

Please be advised that our train cars are not currently fully accessible for those with considerable mobility challenges. However, we are actively working on improvements to enhance accessibility in the near future. In the meantime, our trainmen are stationed at all doors and are ready to assist with boarding and disembarking to ensure everyone can travel comfortably and safely. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work towards a more inclusive experience for all.
