What to Expect?

You'll arrive at our little, half way underground chocolate factory, snuggled back in the corner of El Mercado. You will be offered an apron and proceed over to an old cabinet where you will see examples of the wooden Chocolate Box Projects available for you to make. Then you will receive your blank box and be guided to either the ART BAR or the CHOCOLATE BAR and await further instruction. You will then spend your time Making Chocolate inside and embellishing (painting) your box container outside. It's self paced so enjoy getting into it!

Before coming please reserve a specific project or better yet... simply choose "Seat Reservation Only" and then choose your project when you get to the factory. If you choose the "Seat Reservation Only" option of $34, that will cover the "2 Bar" activity. If you choice any other project the $34 will be credited towards that project.

Build a Bar!

30 minutes to 2 hours. Build your own custom Milk, Dark and/or White Chocolate Bars with all your desired toppings. While the bars cool, you'll complete the process by painting, drawing or simply embellishing the pre-printed cardboard carton to put it in. Name it, and sign it using the available art supplies. Once your Bar has hardened, you'll wrap it in foil, and slide it into your newly personalized carton. Each bar weighs approx. 4oz.

Build a Box and Bars!

1-2 hours Create your own wooden Keepsake Box full of the unique handmade Craft Chocolate Bars you make. You'll pour your choice of Dark, Milk and White into the bar molds that fit your chosen box size. You will then top your chocolate from a choice of 25 inclusions (nuts, dried fruit, peppermint, marsh mellows, goji berries, seasonings etc.) While the Chocolate is setting up you can paint, stain, stamp, stencil and washi tape your box using all the Art supplies in our ART BAR located out side in the Paseo. Make a Chocolate box as a gift for someone you love including yourself!

Build a Bark!

30 minutes to 2 hours. Fill your wooden Tile (Tray) with your choice of Dark, Milk and or White and swirl. Then create a design, landscape or self portrait using all of our many inclusions (mixed nuts, dried fruits, GF pretzels, seeds, spices and habanero salts) by dropping them into the fluid chocolate. Then Drizzle chocolate as a finishing touch! As your chocolate is setting up, take your blank Tile to the ART BAR and use the back side as a wood canvas of sorts. Create to your hearts content, painting, drawing or simply collage together some stickers for a personalized, reusable tray or plaque. Comes with a little wooden hammer to break apart and serve. Makes for a wonderful gift to bring to a dinner party!
