Night falls slow and wide along the Chobe River, and your camp—a row of canvas tents and low camp lights—becomes a front-row seat to the river’s evening theater. Within hours hippos bellow, elephants move like slow waves toward the water, and a guide’s headlamp slices a slice of sky between mopane trunks.
