You lift off from a downtown helipad and the city rearranges itself beneath you—glass and brick giving way to a river that cuts like a silver ribbon toward Lake Michigan. In fifteen minutes the skyline unfolds in layers: the squat bulk of Willis Tower, the arc of Navy Pier, the green sweep of Grant Park, and the checkerboard roofs of Wrigley Field shrinking into a neighborhood grid.
