Our comfortable, climate controlled, award winning city tour takes you on an entertaining, narrated journey through the downtown area and to several of Chicago’s distinct neighborhoods. You’ll learn about the city’s colorful past, cosmopolitan present and exciting future. This tour takes you all around downtown and the near north side of the city, including the heart of Chicago, known as The Loop, After seeing the tallest building in North America (The Willis [Sears]Tower), you’ll see a few of the world’s first skyscrapers. Our tours take you inside of The Rookery, an early skyscraper with a lobby designed by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
Then it’s on to historic Grant Park with it’s impressive Buckingham Fountain (a great tour stop when it's up and running) and a drive past the stunning, Millennium Park. Museum Campus is up next with it’s unparalleled city views (we’ll let you get out here, so you can take some fantastic skyline photos).
After that, it’s up Michigan Avenue, first to see the popular Art Institute of Chicago, then along “The Magnificent Mile” to the historic Water Tower & John Hancock Building.
After a photo stop on scenic Wacker Drive, you’ll ride through the affluent Gold Coast neighborhood (including the original Playboy Mansion) and trendy Rush Street. Then it’s up to 1,600 acre Lincoln Park, home of the famous Zoo, gardens and the neighborhood where 1929’s Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre (Al Capone vs. Bugs Moran) went down. This is a great opportunity to see a typical Chicago residential neighborhood. A breathtaking drive back into town along stunning Lake Shore Drive rounds out this award winning tour.
