A clip-clop begins at Central Park South, and suddenly the city’s noise falls away into the measured rhythm of hooves and a narrow ribbon of trees. The small loop skirts the park’s southeast corner: Wollman Rink gleams on one side, Gapstow Bridge arches over the Pond on the other, and glimpses of the Plaza and Grand Army Plaza punctuate the ride. In twenty minutes you move like a local carriage in a movie—frames of stone bridges, playgrounds, and the Dairy Visitor Center pass by.

Carriages gather along Central Park South near the Ritz-Carlton and the Plaza Hotel; look for the driver and company signage and arrive 10–15 minutes early.
The small loop is about 20 minutes and passes Wollman Rink, the Dairy Visitor Center, Central Park Zoo views, Gapstow Bridge and the Pond, plus Grand Army Plaza and the Plaza Hotel.
