Fishing With Kevin
Experience the thrill of salmon and crab fishing off the Central Oregon Coast with an expert guide. This 8-hour combo trip offers hands-on fun and fresh seafood rewards.
Fishing With Kevin is a Garibaldi, Oregon-based charter operation providing guided fishing and crabbing trips along the Northwest coast and rivers. Captain Kevin brings more than 40 years of fishing experience to each trip, offering salmon, halibut, sturgeon, steelhead, and Dungeness crab outings across locations that include the Columbia River, Tillamook Bay, Buoy 10 in Astoria, Newport offshore grounds, and Hammond Marina.
Trips range from local crabbing mornings in Hammond to full-day eight-hour offshore and riverside excursions. Boats include a spacious, well-equipped 28’ Alumaweld Pacific used for Tillamook Bay and Buoy 10 trips and vessels fitted with electric reels for offshore halibut and salmon trips out of Newport. Fishing With Kevin provides all necessary gear, emphasizes teamwork so every angler gets a fair chance, and includes catch cleaning, filleting, vacuum packing, and shipping options when available.
Seasonal offerings follow reliable regional fisheries: spring chinook runs in March–June, all-depth halibut and salmon in May–August, summer crab and salmon combos in August–September, fall Columbia River and Buoy 10 salmon trips in August–October, Tillamook Bay chinook in October–November, winter steelhead in January–March, and year-round sturgeon trips. Crabbing departures operate Friday through Sunday from Hammond at 7:30 a.m., with a published per-person rate for limited-spot outings. Reservations are recommended early in peak months to secure preferred dates and launch locations. Weather and sea conditions vary.
