Do I need to purchase my tickets in advance for the Dockside Bash?

This event sells out well in advance. We recommend you buy your tickets as early as possible!

What happens if the event is sold out?

Unfortunately, we do not have a wait-list for the party, so please book in advance.

Is there parking, where? And how much is it?

Parking in Key West may be VERY limited. There is a local municipal parking lot at the corner of Caroline Street and Margaret Street, very close to our ticket booth where you check in! However, we do not guarantee parking. We recommend you either walk or take a cab from your hotel. Further information will be provided upon purchasing your tickets.

Are children allowed on the New Year's Eve Dockside Bash?

You must be 21 or older to participate in this event.

Is there an age limit for this event?

Yes, all attendees must be at least 21 years old.

What exactly do we see during the Dockside Bash?

On this dockside event you will have front row seats for the Schooner Wharf Bar's original tradition of "lowering the Pirate Wench" aboard the Schooner America 2.0.

Is food served during the event?

Stationary and passed hors d' oeuvres will be available throughout the duration of the party.

How about drinks? Should I bring those?

No, it is illegal for you to bring alcohol of your own on board. Our New Year's Eve Bash includes beer, wine, champagne, well drinks, soda, and bottled water.

One quick note: We aim to create an elegant and safe experience for all of our guests. The crew reserves the right not to serve alcohol to visibly intoxicated guests.<

Is the Schooner America 2.0 safe?

Absolutely. This is a dockside event, which means the boat will NOT be leaving the dock. Our crew is there to make sure you feel comfortable and at home on the our vessel.

How steady is the vessel? Am I likely to get seasick?

This event is dockside. The boat will be tied up to the dock right outside the Schooner Wharf Bar for the duration of the event.

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

Yes, the boat is equipped with two bathrooms, or marine heads, that are accessible at all times.

Can I stow anything (eg, my luggage) during the event?

Due to limited space, we are not able to store any personal belongings during this event.

Am I allowed to leave in the middle of the event?

Yes! Guests will be given wristbands to indicate their VIP status. These wristbands will allow guests to come and go as they please. Don't go too far, though! The fun is onboard the America 2.0!!

What should I wear?

For our New Year's Eve Bash, dress up or dress down as you please! We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and footwear (high heels are not recommended). Bring a light jacket just in case!

Where does the event finish?

This event will stay at the dock for the entirety of the event.

Can I get a refund or reschedule my tickets after buying them?

Tickets can be fully refunded up until December 17th, 2022. After that date, no refunds or reschedules will be allowed.

Do you ever cancel events due to bad weather?

The event usually runs in light rain and other moderate weather situations. The only time we cancel a event is in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions. Cancellations are made on the day of the event, by the Captain, up to 1 hour prior to event time. If you have purchased tickets for a event that is canceled, you will have the opportunity to to reschedule your tickets (subject to availability), take a full refund or receive credit towards a future event.

What happens if it starts raining during the event?

Don't worry, we won't melt! Trips with a little wetness have proven to be some the most memorable bonding experiences for our guests. (This all depends on attitude of course...)

Is gratuity included in the price of the event?

Yes, a 15% gratuity is automatically added on during the ticket purchasing process.

Is the schooner wheelchair accessible?

No, unfortunately the schooner is not wheelchair-accessible.

Can I get married aboard America 2.0 in Key West?

Can I book a private charter sail?

Policies

Refund/Rescheduling Policy Customers will receive a full refund with 14 days notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows are not eligible for any refund or reschedule.

Other Policies Activity may be cancelled due to severe weather. The activity usually runs in light rain and other moderate weather conditions, but the seller may cancel the activity up to an hour before the start time in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions. If the seller cancels the event, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule tickets (subject to availability), receive credit for a future event, or receive a full refund.

All participants must be age 21 or over with valid ID. Each attendee must be age 21 or older and have proper government-issued ID (US or International drivers' licenses, passports, or other government issued ID). Refunds will not be provided for those under age 21 or without sufficient ID.

Sales tax is included in the ticket price. 7.5% sales tax will be added to the ticket price upon purchase.
