FAQ's

Do I need a reservation?
We do not accept phone reservations. We recommend booking online or day of at our ticket booth

Is there reserved seating?
Your ticket guarantees passage aboard the boat, you may choose a seat wherever you like. There are two levels with bars located on each.

Will I get seasick? It is very unlikely. The River Queen cruises only calm, inland waters.

What if it rains?
No problem. The River Queen’s seating is fully enclosed so she sails rain or shine.

Is there a bar aboard the boat?
Yes, there is a full cash bar featuring mixed drinks, beer, wine, juice and soda.

Can I bring my own food and beverages aboard?
No, you may not. The River Queen is licensed by the New Jersey Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco Bureau and has a certified chef under contract.

Where do the boats cruise?
The River Queen cruises the calm, inland waters of the Manasquan River and, conditions permitting, the Point Pleasant Canal, Barnegat Bay and Metedeconk River, depending on the length of the cruise.

Is the boat air conditioned?
The boat is heated and air conditioned for your cruising comfort.

Can we privately charter the River Queen?
Yes, the boat is available for Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Corporate Functions and all occasions.

What are your months of operation?
The River Queen starts her season with a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Brunch Cruise. She sails six days a week starting July 1st through Labor Day. Both boats begin their private charter season the second week of April and sail until December 31st.

Can someone using a wheel chair get aboard?
Yes, but this question is best answered by speaking directly with the Captain prior to purchasing tickets to discuss your specific needs. With advance notice, every season we have many people using standard size wheel chairs aboard with minimal assistance needed by the Captain or crew. Please don't hesitate to call with questions.

When is the Office Open?
Our Brielle office is open year 'round. Spring, Summer and Fall we are open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday's from 11 AM to 4:00 PM. During the Winter months (typically January through April) our hours are Mon-Fri 9:00am till 4:00pm, 10:00am till 4:00pm on Saturday and closed on Sundays.
