Celebrate Christmas with Festive Gin Tasting at The Bothy Experience in Glamis

Christmas is a special time to spend with family and friends, and what better surroundings to celebrate than the atmospheric Gin Bothy Experience in Glamis.

Our Festive Tastings will take place in our cosy and rustic bothy tasting rooms, from where you'll enjoy a tasting including FOUR gins and liqueurs. There is also the option to add on our special Christmas sharing platter, featuring more delicious handmade Bothy Larder products.

Highlights

• Abstainers (e.g. drivers) are also welcome to join the tasting. Such guests will receive soft drinks during the tasting and a ‘Driver’s Gift’ of two 5cl mini gin bottles and a mixer to take away and enjoy at home.
• You can also add on our delicious Christmas savoury and sweet sharing platter to enjoy during your yuletide tasting. Christmas Bothy Sharing Platter including A selection of the finest cheeses (Cheddar, Brie & Cranberry), our very own Bothy Butter curls, sourdough bread, Bothy Larder Oatcakes, red grapes, pickled onions & Jam Bothy Scottish Chilli Jam, hogroast sausage roll, crisps, boozy gin christmas mince pie, Rum Clottie Dumpling, Gin Bothy Gingerbread Fudge and shortbread fingers.

Includes

• During the tasting you will discover the story of the Gin Bothy and bothy life via a special festive video presentation.
• As well as the accompanying video you will receive one of our beautifully illustrated festive tasting mats to help guide you through your gin experience.
• The Festive Tasting will include FOUR gins and liqueurs (each serving is 2.5cl); Mulled Gin Punch on arrival, Original, Merry Berry Bramble and Gunshot Mule.
• All drinks are accompanied by mixers, ice and garnish so that you can create your own perfect seasonal serves!
• One of our experienced Gin Bothy Experience team members will be on hand to answer any questions and provide assistance if required.

• **While dogs and children are welcome in our public areas, they are sadly not allowed to attend our gin tastings. With the exception of assistance dogs.
• Tasting guests are welcome to explore our two retail shops during their visit; The Bothy Larder and Bothy Barn. As well as our two visitor rooms; where our Bothy Beginnings room takes you through our Gin Bothy journey, while our Bothy Tales room tells the story of Scottish Bothies.

Important to Know

• Gin tastings are for adults only, aged 18 + years.

• Assistance dogs are welcome in our tasting rooms.

• Abstainers (e.g. drivers) are welcome to join the tasting but must also be added to the guest numbers when booking online.

• This is a public tasting, which other guests can attend, and due to the cosy and sociable room layout you may be seated at the same table as other bookings.

• This tasting will be carried out via video presentation and will last approximately 60 minutes, with a further 30 minutes to allow guests to finish drinks and food.

• Our tasting rooms are heated, but due to the old thick stone walls and stone floors we recommend guests wrap up - until the gin warms you up! Blankets are also available for guests to use during our tastings.

• This gin tasting will take place in the tasting rooms the Gin Bothy Experience in Glamis village (DD8 1RT).

• All our public areas and tasting rooms are on the ground floor and we also have an accessible toilet.

• Free parking is available in the centre of the village and if required guests can be dropped off at our entrance gate.

• There is a return public bus service from Dundee (via Forfar) to Glamis village. Please check service numbers and travel times on the Traveline Scotland website Traveline Scotland.
