Additional Information

  • Tours leave promptly at the scheduled time.
  • Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. This allows time for you to gather your coats and cameras and use the restrooms prior to the tour.
  • The caverns are a comfortable 52 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. If you get chilly easily, a jacket or sweatshirt is recommended. Souvenir sweatshirts and jackets are available for sale in the gift shop if you forget to bring your own.
  • There is no charge for children 3 and under.
  • No Backpacks, strollers, child carriers/seats, tripods, tobacco products, food, pets or animals are permitted on the cavern tour.
  • The tour is a leisurely, slow-paced walk, but there are several flights of steps, with handrailing's, in the caverns. The path between caverns is uphill with an additional flight of steps outside. Due to the natural features of the cavern, most areas of the cavern, including our general admission tours and special events are not handicapped accessible. Group tours can make special arrangements for wheelchair access to some portions of the cavern tour.
  • Please note: We cannot offer single guest tours. If you are traveling alone we will do our best to accommodate you with other guests. It is advisable to call to confirm tour availability.
  • Tickets are recommended to purchase in advance and will also be available at the door.

Groups of over 12 should call ahead for tour reservations. We WILL take larger groups if they are traveling together.

Wear Comfortable, Closed-Toe Shoes

The cavern floor can be uneven and slippery, so sturdy footwear is essential for safety and comfort.

Bring a Light Jacket

Cave temperatures remain cool year-round, so layering helps you stay comfortable during your tour.

Mind Your Head

Some passageways have low ceilings; watch your head to avoid bumps and bruises.

Use Flash Photography Sparingly

Flash can disturb cave-dwelling creatures and affect other visitors’ experience. Use natural lighting when possible.
