Adventure tips

Wear grippy water shoesClosed-toe water shoes with a rubber sole make the climb over wet limestone safer and more comfortable.

Bring reef-safe sunscreenProtect coral and your skin—choose mineral-based sunscreen and reapply after swimming.

Hydrate and pace the climbDrink water before the climb and take breaks in the pools; the human-chain ascent is steady but can be tiring.

Carry small local cashVendors sell snacks, drinks, and souvenirs near the falls; small Jamaican dollars or USD help for quick purchases.

Recommended gear

Closed-toe water shoes: Provide traction on slippery limestone during the waterfall climb.
Reef-safe sunscreen: Protects coral reefs and prevents sunburn during snorkeling and the cruise.
Swimsuit and quick-dry layers: Wear swimwear under quick-dry clothing for an easy transition between boat and falls.
Light waterproof bag or dry bag: Keeps phone, cash, and spare clothes dry on boat decks and during wet transfers.
