Your journey begins at the Via Casino Archway where you will meet your photographer, fill out a waiver and photo release, and choose a mermaid tail, accessories, and more!
Then we will take our tails and walk down to Middle Beach where your photographer will help you put on your tail, and coach you into classic mermaid poses, as well as try any poses you have in mind.

You have the option, when booking, to opt-in to having our team of photo editors professionally edit/enhance and retouch 3, 6, 12, or 24 images from your photoshoot for an additional cost of $10 per photo.
Our team of photo editors can enhance your photos, making the colors pop, and the background more dramatic and tropical. They can remove unwanted background beachgoers, and more. They can retouch skin removing unwanted wrinkles, acne, scars, etc. Our photo editors, however, do not edit bodies. We encourage body positivity in every photoshoot, and we know mermaids come in all sizes!

Edited photos will be added to your gallery between 5 and 7 days after your photoshoot. You can request specific photos/poses to be edited, but because of the nature of our photoshoots, we can not guarantee specific photographs, although we do try to take your preferences into account.
Sizes are available for children and adults up to size 28 women's, or men's 4XL.
We are a small, women owned and operated business and are not always available for calls. Please email catalinaislandmermaids@gmail.com questions and we will get back to you as soon as we can!
These photoshoots are land-based and although participants may get splashed, they do not enter the water. If you would like photos in the water as a mermaid please sign up for a PADI Mermaid Class or Catalina Mermaid Excursion. Mermaids can take as many "behind the scenes" photos and videos as they like with personal cameras or cell phones. Your friend/significant other is welcome to join us on the beach and observe your photoshoot.
