Adventure tips

Dress in layers for early-morning coldDawn temperatures in Cappadocia can be brisk—start with a warm base and a windproof outer layer you can remove after landing.

Bring a compact camera and spare batteryThe best light is brief; a small tripod or wrist strap keeps your equipment secure in the basket.

Arrive hungry but lightOperators usually offer a celebratory toast and light snack after landing; avoid heavy meals before flight if you’re sensitive to motion.

Confirm pickup and cancellation policyVerify your hotel pickup time and the operator's weather cancellation rules—refunds are common for unsafe conditions.

Recommended gear

Layered jacket: Morning chill and altitude make a warm, removable jacket useful.
Sturdy closed-toe shoes: Uneven launch and landing zones require shoes with grip and ankle support.
Sunglasses and sunblock: High-altitude sun is strong even at dawn—protect eyes and skin.
Compact camera or phone with strap: Low-angle sunrise light is photogenic; secure your device to the basket.
