A salt breeze off Fethiye’s harbor wakes you before dawn: fishing boats rock, gulls cut the air, and a coach waits to stitch together the coast and the Anatolian interior. Over eight days the trip moves like a well-read guidebook brought to life — a morning boat to Butterfly Valley and the Blue Lagoon, a canyon walk through Saklıkent, time among Lycian tombs in Fethiye, the chalk-white travertines of Pamukkale, and the wind-carved fairy chimneys and cave homes of Cappadocia.
moderate.
8 days (full days).
Moderate — comfortable walking 3–6 hours on uneven ground; stairs and short scrambles expected
No — the trip is designed for travelers with a moderate fitness level; trails are mostly non-technical but include uneven ground and stairs.
No — the balloon flight is optional and typically booked separately; availability depends on weather and group size.
Daily breakfasts are included and the itinerary includes some dinners (including an end-of-tour BBQ); local restaurants offer Turkish cuisine throughout the route.
Underground cities have low ceilings, narrow tunnels and stairs; they are not recommended for travelers with severe claustrophobia or serious mobility limits.
The route traces Lycian, Hellenistic and Roman footprints — from rock-cut tombs on the coast to Hierapolis’s Roman thermal city above Pamukkale.
Travertine terraces and cave sites are fragile; stick to marked paths, avoid walking on white travertines and follow local guidelines to limit erosion and preserve heritage sites.
