You step off the van as limestone karsts cut the sky—sharp ridges, wet green faces, and the sound of water pulling toward the valley. Morning light here feels deliberate; it throws the cliffs into relief and dares you to move closer. Over three days you’ll trace a route through northern Vietnam’s highlands: Pac Bo Cave’s quiet history, the thunder of Ban Gioc, and the slow, reflective surface of Ba Be Lake.

Expect several multi-hour transfers between Hanoi, Cao Bang, Ban Gioc, and Ba Be Lake—most days combine driving with shorter on-foot visits.
The tour includes two nights’ accommodation (hotel or homestay), three lunches, two dinners, and two breakfasts as listed—special diets can usually be accommodated if requested in advance.
Boat trips on Ba Be Lake and connected channels are typically calm; local skippers provide life jackets, but bring caution on wet landings and boardings.
