Join us for an unforgettable evening at Hyde Lake, featuring a guided sunset paddle followed by specialty cocktails and snacks. Enjoy live music, yard games, and firepits under the stars. Whether you paddle or relax with drinks, this 21+ event promises a unique blend of adventure and relaxation.

Rent a canoe or kayak from us, BYO-Boat, or come for cocktails and snacks only!

This event series is a fundraiser for the daily operations of Shelby Farms Park + Shelby Farms Greenline.

Duration: Approx 2.5 Hours

Times change each week - adjusting for the sunset Guided paddle is approximately 45 minutes


Join Us for a Special Evening!

Experience the unrivaled sunset with a guided evening paddle on Hyde Lake. Immediately following the guided paddle, join us for specialty cocktails provided by Old Dominick Distillery, wine, beer, and individually packaged snacks from Feast & Graze at the First Horizon Foundation Visitor Center. Yard games, firepits, and music will entertain you under the stars when the rest of the Park is closed.

Some seating will be available. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic blanket and chairs for the cocktails portion of the evening.

Canoes + Cocktails is a 21+ event.

September 12th & 19th we will have live music and celebrate 100 Days of Blues in Memphis with two local blues artists!

Beverage + Meal Options

All ticket options include drink tickets for either water, beer, wine, or Old Dominick specialty cocktail and an individually packaged snack box from Feast & Graze.

Depending upon your food preference selection at checkout; The snack box is either meat or a veggie wrap with cheese, crackers, hummus, & fruit.

Must have a reservation. Reservations will cut off 9am on the day of the event. No walk-up tickets will be available.


DIRECTIONS

When you arrive, please enter through the main entrance off of Farm Road and make your way to the First Horizon Foundation Visitor's Center. Check-in will occur at the Gift Shop found in the Visitor's Center.

Please park in one of the parking lots near the Visitor's Center and come to the Gift Shop to check-in. After check-in, proceed to the Hyde Lake Boat House if you are renting a boat. If your ticket is BYO-Boat, please check in at the Gift Shop then plan to launch from the public boat launch, then paddle over to the boat house launch area to meet up with the group.

General Rules for Boat Rentals

  • Weight Limits (please note that weight should be equally distributed from front to back)

Single Kayak (300 lbs) Double Kayak ( 450 lbs) Canoe (850 lbs) Stand Up Paddle Board (350 lbs)

  • Customer accepts use of the equipment as is, in good condition, and accepts full responsibility for care of the equipment while under his/her possession. | El cliente acepta el uso del equipo tal cual, en buenas condiciones, y acepta la responsabilidad total por el cuidado del equipo mientras esté bajo su posesión.

  • Customer agrees to return the boat in a clean, undamaged condition to avoid any additional charges for repair, maintenance, or replacement. | El cliente acepta devolver el bote limpio y sin daños para evitar cargos adicionales por reparación, mantenimiento o reemplazo.

  • Damaged parts or components will be repaired/replaced at the rental facility’s discretion, and the customer agrees to pay for components replaced. | Las piezas o componentes dañados serán reparados / reemplazados a discreción de la instalación de alquiler, y el cliente acepta pagar por los componentes reemplazados.

  • No swimming or diving in the lake | Nadar y saltar en el lago está prohibido.

No refunds or exchanges.

In case of inclement weather, guests will receive a voucher for future boat rental. However, we will continue the cocktail hour of the event complete with snacks, and guests will still be invited to join us at the Visitor Center.
