About This Adventure
Embark on a scenic 10 km canoe or kayak adventure from Camp Děčín, paddling through stunning rock formations and the enchanting Bohemian Switzerland National Park. Choose to bike along the Elbe Cycle Route, savoring breathtaking views and delicious meals, before returning by bus or train for a memorable day of exploration.
Děčín - Suchá Kamenice 10 km / 2 hrs
Your trip begins at Camp Děčín, where we will hand you a canoe or a kayak, paddles and a dry bag. A short briefing will take place. The tour will enchant you right at the beginning, by paddling between the rock massifs of the Shepherd's Wall with the Via Ferrata and the opposite side with the Děčín chateau. The Bohemian Switzerland National Park begins right behind the Děčín town. The river is calm and without difficult passages in this section. You can comfortably reach the handover point on the right side of Elbe in Suchá Kamenice
Option with bikes
After you reach the handover point on the right bank, we'll take the boat from you and give you the bikes. Then continue downstream for about 1,5 km to Hřensko. From there, you'll reach the left bank of the Elbe Cycle Route by ferry. Don't forget to bring 40 CZK per person + 30 CZK per bike/scooter in cash!
On the left bank, you can your bike ride towards Děčín. Along the way, you can stop for a bite to eat at the Dolní Grund restaurant, which offers fabulous views of the rocks
The bikes must be returned by 6 pm at the Kemp Děčín reception. We charge 300 CZK for late returns..
Option to return by bus
We will take the boats and all equipment from you at the handover point. The bus stop is approximately 500 meters downstream from the handover point.
Option to return by train
If you select this option, we will take the boat and all the equipment from you after you reach the handover point on the right side of the Elbe in Suchá Kamenice. Then continue on foot downstream for about 1.5 kilometers to Hřensko. To return by train, the ferry in Dolní Žleb will take you to the other side of the river where the train station is. Don't forget the 40 CZK in cash/per person!
