About This Adventure

Experience the excitement of outrigger canoe surfing in Waikīkī, the only place where you can ride the waves in this unique way. Join up to five friends for a private charter, guided by certified captains, and enjoy a thrilling hour of paddling and surfing together, regardless of skill level.

OUTRIGGER CANOE SURFING is the original Hawaiian rollercoaster ride! Waikīkī Beach is currently the only place where a visitor can experience the thrill of surfing a wave on an outrigger canoe.

Options & Prices:

  • 1hr Canoe Charter $400 per canoe/ Maximum of 6 riders. No minimum number of riders required.

Additional Information:

  • Canoe runs daily from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Same-day reservations must visit or call our activity desk at (808) 388-1510.
  • Up to 6 people can fit per canoe (4 paddlers + 2 riders).
  • Ages 5+ welcome – parent or guardian must be present to hold child during the ride and must provide own lifejacket or floatation device.
  • All swimming and paddling abilities also welcome.
  • Life jackets for adults are available upon request.

The canoe operates under the guidance of certified first and second canoe captains, who will assist guests with paddling and navigating thru the surf. Your group will paddle out to the surfbreak and get in the line up to catch some waves.

Safety is of the utmost importance to us; in times of large surf or unpredictable ocean conditions, it may not be possible to use the canoe safely. In cases such as these, we will try to give us much warning as possible should we need to cancel or reschedule a booking.
