Trip Itinerary

  • Your awesome driver guide will pick you up early morning and soon you'll be travelling south west to our bush capital, cruising the NSW Southern Highlands through typical small Australian country towns. We'll stop at a local cafe/pie shop on the way so you can grab a refreshment (own expense) and stretch your legs before arriving at Canberra.
  • Our first stop is Mt Ainslie for views of Canberra and the mountains beyond. From here you can get a perspective of the design and layout of the city,
  • Next stop is a visit to the world class, Australian War Memorial. Time for reflection as you'll learn about the legends of Gallipoli, the ANZACs and sacrifices and losses suffered by Australians in past wars fought around the world.
  • Lunch (own expense) is at the National Museum of Australia, well-known for controversial expositions regarding key issues of Australia's social history, people and events. You have free time to explore the exhibits or relax outside in the grounds by Lake Burley Griffin
  • Next we take a guided tour of the national Parliament House, the seat of Australia's Federal Government. An architectural masterpiece costing $1.1 billion, you'll see the chambers and learn more about Australia's open democracy. From the inner walls of power to walking on the roof, this is a 'must see' attraction.
  • Finally we then take a drive through Yarralumla, one of Canberra's largest suburbs for a close look of the many national embassies. Each embassy is uniquely designed to reflect aspects of their country's culture.
  • For the most memorable and enjoyable Canberra day tour from Sydney, book with us! We depart every Saturday, all year round and look forward to showing you the sights!
