One Night to One Month Rentals
Experience the tranquility of nature at this modern campground, named after the Apalachee Indians. Enjoy spacious, secluded RV sites with essential utilities, designed for maximum comfort and privacy. Perfect for larger recreational vehicles, each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, making it an ideal getaway for families and friends.
Named in honor of the Apalachee Indians who once occupied park grounds, this modern campground features huge, secluded wilderness sites with underground utilities (water, power, sewer). These uniquely designed sites feature pull-through access and are located in a mini-park area, offering privacy from other campers and park visitors, and are designed and built to accommodate the largest recreational vehicles. Each features a picnic table and fire ring.
Suitable for all RVs up to 40 feet in length.
No tent camping or horse trailers allowed on RV sites.
Reservations include fees for up to 4 people. All additional campers are $5 each per night for guests age 6 and up. Eight people maximum per site.
Maximum 31-night stay.
For reservations of up to a week, the first night is non-refundable (the first two nights are nonrefundable for reservations of a week to two weeks; the first three nights for reservations of two to three weeks; and the first full week for reservations of three to four weeks.) In the event of an advance cancellation the entirety of your balance may be applied to any other park facility rental, service, or merchandise for up to a year from the original rental date. Cancellations after the rental period begins are not eligible for refunds.
A campsite suitable to your equipment and/or vehicle will be assigned by the admissions officer upon registration.
Normal check-in is between 1 PM and 7 PM; late check-in 7-9 PM. Sorry, no early check-ins. Park gate closes at 9 PM and only checked-in guests will have access to current gate code. Check out is 11 AM
The minimum age to rent a campsite or camping facility is 18. No camping by minors under the age of 18 is allowed unless accompanied by an adult (21 or over) throughout the camping period.
Failure to properly dispose of trash at departure or damage to property will result in a minimum $50 damage fee.
Sites for vehicles up to 40 feet fill fast during peak seasons, so book well in advance.
Full hookups are available, but bringing your own hose ensures quick, hassle-free connections.
Keep fires contained to provided rings and fully extinguish before leaving the site.
Summer evenings can have mosquitoes; repellent keeps them at bay for a pleasant experience.
The Apalachee RV Campground honors the Apalachee tribe, part of the Muskogean-speaking peoples who historically inhabited the Gulf Coast region.
The campground encourages Leave No Trace principles to protect Alabama’s fragile coastal ecosystems and maintains recycling stations on-site.
