Meet the shuttle at Bennett Rd Carpark in Ongarue before 8.30am on Day 1. Shuttle departs Ongarue once everything is loaded and takes approximately 55-60minutes to Pureora. Each day's riding time on average is 4-6hours (this time includes stops along the way).
Experience all the wonders of Pureora Forest Park riding the full 82km Timber Trail over 2 days & staying overnight surrounded by native forest at Camp Epic. Camp Epic is located right on the Timber Trail near the halfway mark, making it the perfect overnight accommodation option for users of the Timber Trail.
Let us take care of everything and stay in our large twin-room canvas tents. With proper comfortable beds, linen, and all the essentials provided. Or bring your own tent to set up on-site and make use of the facilities.
Our Camp Epic Timber Trail Package includes 1 nights accommodation, shuttle from Ongarue to Pureora, breakfast for day 2, and your luggage & food transferred to/from Camp Epic.
Meet us in Ongarue by 8:30am on the morning of Day 1. You and your bike are shuttled from Ongarue to Pureora to start your ride. Your luggage and food/beverages are transferred from Ongarue to Camp Epic. Your ride the first 40km of the Timber Trail from Pureora to Camp Epic. Have a great night's stay at Camp Epic. Wake up on day 2 and head out when you're ready to ride the next 42km of the Timber Trail from Camp Epic to Ongarue. Your luggage will be collected and transferred back to Ongarue. Someone from the team at Epic will be waiting for you when you finish back in Ongarue to hand your luggage back. Pack up, jump in your car home, and we'll see you next time!
Camp Epic is self-catered so you'll need to bring your own food & drinks with you. We do supply breakfast for you to help yourself to. If staying in our canvas tents, all your bedding and towels are provided. Just bring toiletries and clothing. Bring warm gear for the evening as it can get very cold at night all year round.
You’ll need appropriate gear to ride a bike in and always bring a jacket in case of wet weather. The weather in Pureora Forest Park is very variable and can change rapidly. Ensure you have plenty of water and food with you for a full day of riding. Always carry bike spares just in case of a mechanical breakdown such as a spare tube, pump, chainlink, multi-tool, etc. Other things to consider bringing with you are sunscreen, first aid kit, PLB (can be hired from some i-sites).
Bring a spare tube, pump, multitool, and chain link—trail repair shops are scarce.

Bring ample water and energy snacks for 4-6 hours of riding each day with limited refueling points.
