Esta caminhada é fundamental para conhecer melhor a bacia hidrográfica do complexo vulcânico das Sete Cidades. Ao longo do trilho, são presentes numerosas lagoas, com características diferentes e é aqui que encontramos o ponto mais alto das Sete Cidades, o Pico das Éguas. O briefing inicia-se junto à Lagoa do Canário e depois começamos o trilho e iremos apreciar a Lagoa das Éguas, Pico das Éguas, Lagoa Rasa. O nosso guia vai falar-lhe sobre a importância dos cursos de água para o concelho de Ponta Delgada e sobre a vegetação endémica que existe neste local. Passando pela Lagoa do Canário e Miradouro Grota do Inferno, irá descobrir informações interessantes sobre a Caldeira das Sete Cidades e as lagoas que a compõem.
