The morning light hits the marina and a brisk sea breeze carries salt and the sound of rigging as you step aboard a low-profile boat bound for Land’s End. The water here changes character where the Pacific slams into the Sea of Cortez — currents that play tag with schools of fish and lift seabirds into sudden dives. A marine biologist joins the trip, pointing toward distant spouts or the flick of a mobula ray as the wake parts.
