There’s no better way to see the island! Golf carts provide quick and easy access to all the beautiful views and enticing locations Peaks Island has to offer. Used by locals and tourists alike, they're the most common mode of transportation on the island. We are located about 1 block from where you get off the ferry, just take a left at the intersection (ice cream shop) as you walk off the ferry.
Ferries depart Portland regularly for Peaks, search for Casco Bay Lines to find their most current schedule. It takes about 25 minutes to reach Peaks Island on the ferry from Portland.
Weekly rentals can be picked up any time after 9:45am and before 6pm on the first day of your rental. If you would like to pick up by 6pm the day before your start date please contact us by phone and ask- we may be able to accommodate but can make no guarantees.
We offer a more comprehensive rule and safety chat before sending you off, but here are the most important points:
Arrange your ferry trip to Peaks Island ahead of time as rentals are a short walk from the ferry terminal.
Keep your speed down on narrow island roads to ensure safety for pedestrians and other carts.
Make sure to check battery levels and charge as needed to avoid interruptions during your rental period.
Many small island businesses prefer cash, so come prepared to support local vendors.
