About This Adventure

Embark on a captivating walking food tour in Burlington City, blending history and culinary delights. Explore the Armed Forces Heritage Museum and the James Fenimore Cooper House, savoring local flavors from Evermore Coffee Roasters, Union House, Taste of Soul, and Francesco Ristorante, before indulging in sweet treats at Umm Ice Cream Parlor.

If you are looking for a little more history on a walking food tour, then you don’t want to miss our newest venture in Burlington City. Our first tour stop includes the Armed Forces Heritage Museum, which highlights the history of the military in New Jersey and the neighboring regions. The Armed Forces Heritage Museum is located at the James Lawrence House. James Lawrence is a Naval War Hero from the War of 1812 and “Don’t Give Up The Ship!” battle cry fame. Also, visit the James Fenimore Cooper House (birthplace of author of "The Last of the Mohicans"). Listen to the stories and see artifacts and furnishings at both locations.

Learn about some of Burlington City’s interesting history during our walking tour. Sip your way through the flavor and aroma of our coffee tasting with education at Evermore Coffee Roasters. Dig into a delicious pork sandwich at the Union House. Enjoy devouring a southern classic chicken dish from Taste of Soul. Next up is our stop at Francesco Ristorante with lobster ravioli as our food selection. End your tour with a sweet stop at Umm Ice Cream Parlor.
