Belfast architecture is full of history and many of its buildings have had a fascinating life.
Our old buildings are a physical record of our history and are story books of how Belfast transformed from a town of relative insignificance to a city of vast importance by the start of the 20th century. This tour incorporates historic buildings from the different eras Georgian (1714-1837), Victorian (1837-1901) and Edwardian (1901-1910) to the more transformational architecture of modern Belfast. You can find out so much about Belfast by just looking up at its historic buildings. They tell their own stories, not just about the individual buildings and the people who built them but also of the city at that time and about the development of the city.
This tour also highlights how some of Belfast's beautiful historic buildings have been repurposed in modern hotels and other hospitality establishments thus preserving the city's Victorian character
