Ages 6-17 • 8 Weeks • For Beginners!
Embark on an exciting 8-week journey into the world of ice skating! Complete beginners will learn essential skills, from safe falling techniques to gliding independently in both directions. With expert coaching, you'll gain confidence and control, mastering the basics while enjoying the thrill of skating across the ice.
8 Weeks 30 Minute sessions
Skaters will be slowly introduced to the basics of ice skating with the goal of making the skater safe on the ice. Once they have been introduced to the correct way to fall and stand up on the ice, coaches will encourage skaters to find their own balance and start moving across the ice independently in both directions, forwards and backwards!
Our rinks maintain an air temperature around 10C or less, so warm layers are a must! An insulated rain jacket will keep you warm and dry, and be sure to bring long socks. We strongly recommend that young skaters wear a well-fitted bike, ice hockey or ski helmet.
Dress in comfortable, layered clothing to stay warm and flexible on the ice.
Ensure your skates fit well and provide good ankle support for safety and comfort.
Drink water regularly, even in the cold, to maintain energy during sessions.
Get to the rink early to set up and become comfortable with the surroundings before your lesson.
