Learn how the Oland family brewing business has survived for six generations and despite many obstacles including two brewery fires, the devastation of the Halifax Explosion, prohibition, and two World Wars, Moosehead continues to be one of the most resilient and time-honoured Canadian companies.

Tour our historic brewery where we brew our beer today and learn how art, science, and passion come together to create award-winning beers. For 60 minutes, sample a variety of our beers, tour our brewhouse and packaging operation, and learn how Moosehead has survived 155 years to become Canada’s oldest independent brewery.

Rules & Regulations

Here at Moosehead Breweries, we care about your safety and brewery experience. Here are a few house rules that we’d like you to be aware of:

Guests need to be the legal drinking age of 19+ with a valid government issued ID in order to taste our delicious beers. Guests between the ages of 7 and 18 may tour our brewery, but must be with an adult. Our tours are not suitable for children six years and under.

Unfortunately, laws forbid all animals, including service animals, access into our brewery and taproom as we are considered a food manufacturer.

For your safety, all guests must wear closed-toe, flat shoes. No sandals or heels can be worn. The tour also involves climbing and descending stairs, standing for extended periods of time, and experiencing room temperatures of hot and cold. The tour unfortunately cannot accommodate those who are not comfortable with the above experiences. Note that it may also be difficult to hear in some production areas, but we’ll do our best to be loud and clear.

For bookings, reservations are limited to groups of 15. Payment will be taken online at time of booking, or over the phone.

At this time, we do not offer brewery tours on Saturday and Sunday. Please refer to the booking calendar for availability.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour time to sign your tour waiver and get organized.
