A warm trade wind pushes the salt-scented air across Brewers Bay as you step off the trailhead opposite the old sugar mill ruins. The path rises briskly over rocky coral substrate and scrub, then eases into the cave-like outcrop called Brewers Rock where the island unfolds: aquamarine bay below, green ridgelines behind.

Moderate fitness: expect a 45–60 minute uphill scramble and up to 90 minutes of snorkeling; able-bodied walkers and competent swimmers are best suited.
Expect 45–60 minutes one-way on a moderately steep, rocky trail with short uneven sections; guides set the pace for the group.
Snorkeling equipment is provided, but some guests prefer their own mask for fit and comfort.
Participants should be competent swimmers; children may join if they are confident in the water and accompanied by an adult—check with the operator for age limits.
Tours are canceled in rough or unsafe sea conditions and fully refundable if canceled at least 24 hours before departure per the booking policy.
The trail and surrounding land trace back to St. Thomas’s sugar plantation period; the ruins near the trailhead are remnants of that 18th–19th century economy.
Brewers Bay includes protected reef areas—visitors are asked not to touch coral or feed wildlife and to use reef-safe products to minimize impacts.
