Flaminio Ponzio planned the Casina, and after his death Giovanni Vasanzio continued his work.You will see masterpieces by Caravaggio and Raphael, Bernini (Apollo and Daphne, David, The Rape of Proserpine), Titians’ Sacred and Profane Love, Canova’s Venus, scandalous portrait of Paulina Borghese, sister of Napoleon.
After the Borghese Gallery, your guide will take you for an exciting small walk through the Borghese Gardens, a onetime vineyard turned private park developed by the same Cardinal Scipione Caffarelli Borghese who built the gallery.
