UPDATE! Our Bonafide Kayaks are available at Guana Outpost South
North Guana Outpost (4415 Mickler Rd): Launch right into the north end of the Guana Preserve. From here you can paddle south on calm flat water and observe the abundant wildlife. More than 500 bird species have been spotted in Guana. No need to worry about tides since the Guana dam was built about 12 miles south in 1957. This is one of the most serene places to paddle. Launch is open February 10- November 10. The remainder of the year, the North end of the preserve is closed for waterfowl hunting season.
Mickler's Landing Beach: Try paddle boarding here on a flat day to see dolphins and sea turtles or come when there is some swell to paddle surf or try surfing on our beginner boards!
6 Mile Landing (1700 Ponte Vedra Blvd): This is a small boat launch approximately 4 miles south of North Guana Outpost. Right in the heart of the Guana Lake, this is another great spot for wildlife viewing and an easy paddle. Rent one of our Bonafide fishing kayaks for some great inshore fishing here. Launch is open February 10- November 10. The remainder of the year, the North end of the preserve is closed for waterfowl hunting season.
Guana Outpost South (Main Guana Entrance- 600 Guana River Rd.): For a day of adventure outdoors, spend it here! You have two options to launch; the north side of the dam or the south. With a 'beach' walk in entry the north side is a great place to learn to paddleboard or for any beginner paddler. The south side is the Guana River which flows about 3 mile south and runs into the ICW. This side is tidal with very large tide swings at times. It is also salt marsh so there are oyster beds. Both sides are great for fishing and it is not rare to spot a bald eagle here. In addition to paddling, there are over 12 miles of hiking/biking trails at this location.
Nocatee Kayak Launch: If you would like to paddle the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), we can deliver kayaks or paddleboards to this location for you. The ICW is a tidal saltwater river which you may paddle north or south from the launch. Make sure to head out and return around high tide as it can be difficult and muddy around low tide at the launch. Heading north you will see homes along the east side of the river and paddling south the homes eventually end and you'll find more wildlife.
NEW! Nocatee Landing: Located at the base of the southern trailhead of Nocatee’s Preserve, adjacent to the Tolomato River (Intracoastal West). The connector road off Crosswater Parkway, Nocatee Landing Trail, and is approximately 1 mile north of the new Crosswater collection of neighborhoods. The Nocatee Landing allows you to launch further south on the ICW almost directly across from Pine Island.
All half and full day rentals come with free delivery and pickup service to Mickler’s Landing Beach, 6 Mile Landing (Guana Boat Launch) and the Nocatee Kayak Launch.
There is a $20 fee for half and full day delivery to the new Nocatee Landing. This includes drop-off and pick-up for up to 6 kayaks or paddleboards (or a combination of both).
If you choose to transport the equipment yourself, you must provide a valid driver's license and a credit card number for us to hold during the rental period.
