Based on the real-life sound recording of a Lancaster Bomber crew, the virtual reality takes you on a night-time bombing mission inside a Lancaster Bomber from an airfield in Nottinghamshire to the heart of Europe.
Witness first-hand the digitally created visual and real-life audio experience from the relative calm of leaving England to the noise and intensity of a bombing run through flak, searchlights, and machine-gun fire from closing German fighters.
All tours and experiences must be booked in prior to visiting the museum, to ensure that we have capacity and the required volunteer available for your tour. (General Admission price is included in all tours and experiences).
Due to the possible side effects of using the headsets for the VR experiences and the nature of the content (Bomber Command VR) we recommend that the experience is suitable for 10 years and above or at the parents/ guardians discretion. Please speak to the museum volunteers if you have any concerns.
