Summit County, nestled in the heart of Colorado's rugged Rocky Mountains, offers a prime setting for outdoor water adventures. Heeney Marina stands out as a go-to spot for both locals and visitors seeking a day of leisurely exploration and aquatic fun. The marina boasts a fleet of pontoon boats, available for eight-hour rentals, providing the perfect means to carve your own path across the shimmering waters of Heeney Lake.
A typical day here starts with a quick briefing on safety and boat operation, but the real magic happens once you’re out on the lake. Glide past towering pine forests and jagged mountain peaks, with the sun casting golden light on the calm surface. The lake’s crystalline waters are inviting for swimming, and a cooler full of refreshments makes it easy to soak up the sun and enjoy the scenery.

Whether you’re drifting along, water skiing, or simply lounging on the deck with snacks in hand, the experience feels both unhurried and exhilarating.
