Equipped with modern navigation tools and safety gear, this adventure allows up to four people to explore the waters and even take home your catch across the Finnish border.
Rent our smaller Øien 530 boat for rental to go out to Varangerfjord for fishing or cruising. This boat is rented from Bugøynes village, just a short walk from our Restaurant Bistroen. For safety purposes we do not rent our boats for more than 4 persons when you are going fishing. The boat is self-draining, has a steering wheel, and is equipped with echo sounders / chart plotters.

Fishing equipment must be brought, but life jackets are included in the boat rental price. It is possible to rent a flotation suit for NOK 100 per day.
Visit Bugøynes is a registered tour operator. When you use an official and local boat rental company and register your catch, you are allowed to bring 18kg of catch per person across the Finnish border.
Fishing equipment is not included in the boat rental, so pack your rods, bait, and tackle for a fully equipped trip.
Though life jackets are included, renting a flotation suit is wise in colder months for additional safety and comfort.
Make sure to provide all participant info upfront to comply with fish registration regulations before crossing into Finland.
Fuel is not included in the rental price and will be billed based on consumption after your trip.
