You push off from a shaded roadside as mist lifts from the valley and the first coffee terraces appear like patchwork on the hillsides. The air tastes of damp earth and green coffee leaves; the road leans gently and the guide calls out a corner ahead. This is not a race but a slow unraveling of Jamaica’s Blue Mountains — forests daring you forward, plantation roads nudging you toward sweeping coastal glimpses.
