You push off a low wooden jukung and the bay opens like a page turned—calm, pale-blue water folding toward a white sand rim and a fringe of palms. The boat rocks gently as the guide points to a shallow reef line alive with color: angelfish flick by like coins, a cuttlefish hovers and then dissolves into the coral.
