The first splash comes before you step into the water — the bus rolls away from Montego Bay and the hills of St. Ann tighten around the road, trees leaning to shade the White River valley. At the Blue Hole, sunlight sharpens the pool’s turquoise edge and the falls dare you to move closer: cliff jumps, narrow caves and ledges carve an active playground out of volcanic limestone and mineral-rich flow.

The White River corridor supported small hydro and agricultural communities; locals long used river pools for bathing and trade before the site became a popular attraction.
Stick to marked paths and follow guide instructions to avoid trampling fragile riverbanks; avoid single-use plastics and support local vendors to benefit the community.
