The sun drops hard onto flat basalt and chalk until the landscape seems to rewrite itself—black ridges giving way to moon-white mushroom rocks. You step from a 4x4 into wind-sculpted stone; the stillness presses close and the stars feel within reach. Over three days you move through Bahariya Oasis, the Black Desert’s volcanic outcrops, hot springs and crystal-studded mountains, and the surreal chalk seas of the White Desert where overnight camps turn into small islands of light.
