Launch at Virginia Key Beach from the PADL Beach Club, and venture out on Biscayne Bay. Take in the natural sites, see local fish and wildlife, and take pictures on the water with the downtown Miami skyline as the backdrop.
Your guide will bring a waterproof bag for your phone, wallet and keys which you can use if you do not already have one yourself. A paddleboard or kayak for each person, as well as paddle and life vest, will be waiting for you when you arrive.
Bring sturdy waterproof footwear (we would recommend aqua socks, Crocs or similar shoes). Also be sure to bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated, a strap to hold any glasses you are wearing and also to wear sunscreen.
Getting to the launch point 15-20 minutes before your scheduled time ensures optimal lighting and calm waters for a better paddle experience.
Use sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to shield yourself from UV rays during daytime prep and initial paddling.
Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, especially during warm summer evenings.
Always confirm weather forecasts before your trip to avoid stormy or windy conditions that could impact safety.
Miami has long been a hub for maritime activity, with Biscayne Bay serving as a vital waterway for commerce and recreation since the early 20th century.
PADL - VK Beach Club emphasizes eco-friendly operations, including using non-motorized paddleboards and promoting wildlife awareness.
A PFD is required for safety and is provided if needed, but bringing your own ensures comfort.
Protect your skin from sun exposure during daytime prep and paddling.
