The trail opens under a green ceiling: you step off the dusty road and the forest closes in, leaves whispering as toucan calls echo downhill. In Minca, mornings arrive with a staccato of song—antbirds answering one another, warblers flitting through coffee bushes, and the rare, high-pitched call of endemic species that only this corner of the Sierra Nevada can claim.
