About

Hundreds of bird species live in Quintana Roo, the whole year around. Besides, there are a lot of birds who are coming to Mexico during winter. They make a stopover until they continue their journey to South America. This ensures that there are more than 360 species of birds living in the state of Quintana Roo. The Yucatan peninsula has over 527 bird species in 62 families.

The migratory birds are in Mexico two times per year. Both times to escape from the strong winters in other countries. The birds cross the Gulf of Mexico, a way of 800 to 1000 km, to arrive to the Yucatan Peninsula.

This tour is extremely suitable for nature lovers. Our guides are specialized in the different bird species and will tell you all the ins and outs about every specific type.
