Once you have arrived on site, you will be greeted by our professional staff, followed by a quick check in, life jacket fitting, and a kayak 101 with safety briefing.

Your kayaking adventure starts with a short paddle across Las Croabas Bay. Following your guide, he will take you to the entrance of the Cape San Juan Nature Reserve, navigating the naturel channel that leads you to Laguna Grande and a bioluminescent world.

At the bioluminescent bay you will be given an explanation of why Laguna Grande sparkles and glows, along with the natural history of the Nature reserve, and some star gazing. You will be given time to experience and play with the bioluminescence before heading back to the start. At the finish there will be snacks and drinking water provided.

Adventure Tips

Wear Waterproof Shoes

Opt for shoes that can get wet since you’ll be launching from shore and possibly getting in and out of the kayak in shallow water.

Bring a Headlamp with a Red Light

Use a red light to navigate safely without disturbing the bioluminescence or wildlife.

Avoid Using Sunscreen or Bug Spray Beforehand

These chemicals can harm the delicate microorganisms that create the bioluminescence.

Stay Quiet and Respectful

Keep noise levels low to enhance the peaceful nature of the experience and avoid disturbing wildlife.
